ATHICA happily brings you a summer treat with an early set of original children’s songs by Athens native Heidi Hensley, as well as performances by out-of-town artists Megan Jean and the Klay Family Band from Charleston, SC and Chelsea Lynn La Bate of Brooklyn, NY. The three women performers were selected by new ATHICA Music Director Erica Strout for their notably southern influences and very different styles. Click for performer bios & sample links
The show features international touring artist Chelsea Lynn
La Bate who is making a rare trip to Athens during a nostalgic tour
through the southeast where she was born and raised. (Ms. La Bate will
also play a late-night show at Caledonia Lounge on Thursday, July 30th)
